This development for Stoford transformed a prominent 0.95ha brownfield site on Birmingham Road, Dudley, into a vibrant food and beverage destination. Positioned adjacent to the Premier Inn and close to key leisure and business facilities including an Odeon Cinema, Village Hotel and Health Club, and a business park, the scheme capitalises on its strategic location to enhance the area’s commercial and social offer. The project introduced three individually designed eating and drinking establishments, carefully positioned to create active frontages along Birmingham Road while providing strong pedestrian and cycle connections to the wider area.

The design balances functionality and character, with car parking set discreetly to the rear and a landscaped, tree-lined boulevard linking the units to create a welcoming public realm. Each building was designed to reflect its own brand identity, yet unified through consistent materials, rooflines, and architectural details. Retention of existing landscape features, improved pedestrian links, and sustainable access solutions ensure the development integrates sensitively with its surroundings. The project not only remediated poor ground conditions but also delivered new employment opportunities, strengthened local connectivity, and supported the wider regeneration of Dudley’s town centre.
