BDG Studio designed the next phase of expansion at Carlyon Road Industrial Estate, Atherstone, on behalf of our client Tow-Trust Towbars, with proposals for a new two-storey extension incorporating reception, office, and meeting facilities alongside additional warehouse space. The scheme formed part of a wider improvement programme that had already seen earlier phases of refurbishment and extension delivered, creating a unified, modern identity across the site. The new development was designed to consolidate dispersed office functions, provide a dedicated visitor entrance, and enhance stock storage and handling capacity, while retaining the main production facility in its current location.

Architecturally, the extension continues the material palette and façade treatments established through earlier approvals, using composite cladding and curtain wall glazing to create a cohesive and recognisable street presence. The reception area, highlighted with a distinctive glazed entrance, strengthens wayfinding and improves the business’s external profile. By enabling Tow-Trust to expand in situ, the scheme secures jobs, reduces environmental impact by avoiding relocation, and ensures the company can meet growing demand through improved efficiency and productivity. The development not only supports the ongoing success of a leading manufacturer but also contributes positively to the wider estate and local economy.
