The project, located in the Lichfield Road Industrial Estate, Tamworth, involved transforming an outdated building into the client’s new flagship UK headquarters. The original structure, a mix of brick and asbestos shingle tiles, was stripped back to its steel frame and concrete floor, with a rear extension added. A completely new façade was introduced, featuring glazed curtain walling, stone blockwork, and quality external paving, creating a modern and striking exterior.
Sustainability played a key role, with much of the existing structure retained and the design allowing for future expansion on limited land. The interiors were fully refurbished with a focus on inclusivity and staff wellbeing. A central double-height core now provides a social hub for meetings and dining, enhanced by first-floor balconies. Crittal-style glazed partitions were used throughout to divide spaces while ensuring openness, visibility, and natural light flow.
